Hiiii,

My record comes out in a couple weeks, aand I just added a bunch of shows to my tour.  Visit the tour page HERE.

I’m tired.  Still haven’t sleeepppt really at all.  Listening to... Don Cherry “Hear and Now” oh and also the Beach Boys Pet Sounds.  RIP Brian.  He kinda invented Southern California, didn’t he?  At least as much as Dr. Dre did.

Been in rehearsals putting together 3 piece arrangements for these new songs and trying to figure out how to jump from piano to guitar and back again.  Not easy but it’s possible.  I never thought much about how Little Richard and I share the same birthday, but I’ve been thinkging about it lately.

I should try to shut my eyes for a bit.  I hope you are doing well and I can’t wait to see you on these tours.

Welcome to the Cory website.  Thank you for visiting.  I will update you with all kinds of useless and useful information here.  I like it here.  Mostly these days I’m just watching a bite sized homunculus nap on my chest.  It is quite thrilling.  I hope you are all doing well and I love you very much.  I want you to know that I am very inspired at this moment in my life and am writing new music constantly along with drawing, painting, gardening, working on some film stuff too.

I have a new record called “I Love People” on Drag City Records that will be released on July 25th.   You can pre-order the album here.  I sincerely hope you pre-order the album because there’s a  surprise that comes with the pre-orders that I am sure you will enjoy.

Now I will leave you with these images of cortical homunuli.  These are representations of the human body if it were reorganized by our neurological map, basically where the most nerves are located in our bodies.  I have been thinking about this a lot with a little baby, who’s nervous system is brand spanking new, and how easily he becomes overwhelmed by new stimulae.  The nervous system is an incredible thing, and is able to store so much information over a lifetime.  It is very possible that some sensations of soothing, or perhaps even some that trigger stress could stem from when you were an infant.  I think about techno music and the mothers heart, and the frequency of the electric guitar - the mothers voice, and cymbals and white noise - blood pressure, gas and intestinal movement.  All of these are sounds you can hear in the womb.   And the womb is loud! 88 decibels.  That’s like walking into heavy street traffic.  If there were a busy street made entirely of flesh.
